The tour proudly presents the outstanding achievements of Israel and the Agricultural Research Station of Ramat Negev in agricultural development.
The tour includes an exciting movie describing the relationship between the development center and the farmers, a spectacular view, a visit to the greenhouses, seeing different crops and the experiments performed on them, and the unique varieties of plants developed by the R & D center and learning about the thriving agriculture, against all odds in extreme desert conditions, using saline water and sandy soils.
We will meet the pollinating bumblebees and hear about the work of the agronomist and farmer.
At the end of the tour we will taste the seasonal vegetables developed in the center: sweet cherry tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers and more.
There is a shop selling local produce from Ramat Negev, cold drinks and ice cream.
Tours for individuals and families are held every Friday and Saturday at 13:00.
At the end of the tour the families prepare a spice planter to take home.
